The black bean market is extremely tight with very few market loads available. The Mexican market had a 400,000-tonne bean deficit from the hurricane in which Mexico is grabbing a large number of black U.S. bean loads. Prices will continue to rise until we reach harvest in September.
The supply is very limited, and prices are very high. Loads out of California are at $110cwt if found. Pressure will not subdue until new crop is harvested assuming temperatures remain ideal this year.

The garbanzo bean price has dropped from last month by 5%, but still remains 17% higher than last year. The market will remain tight on these as we progress through the next several months until we reach the end of summer.
The dark red bean market has remained plentiful, and price did manage to come down slightly this year.

The light red kidney bean market had a reduced production rate resulting in a corresponding market that is higher priced.
The great northern bean market continues remaining strong both domestically and internationally. Year after year carryover continues remaining low creating a tight and higher priced market.

    Pinto Beans

The majority of excess crop has been purchased by Mexico to recover from the hurricane that destroyed the most recent crop. The depletion of the crop will remain strong as a result.
Product availability of navy beans is easily accessible. Growers had good yields with plentiful supply.
